BFDI: Branches is an all-new platformer game with Firey, Leafy, Coiny, and Pin! Featuring multiple characters with varied gameplay, a story mode with branching paths, a complete level editor, and an online level browser! (Both the demo and full game will be free!)

How to install BFDI: Branches Demo (Windows):
- Click the download button on the BFDI: Branches itch.io page, and wait for the download to finish.
- Open the File Explorer (Win + E).
- Open the Downloads folder.
- Right click the downloaded BFDI Branches folder, and click Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder, open the second BFDI Branches folder inside.
- Right click bfdibranches.exe, and click Open.
- The "Window has protected your PC" window will show up for the first time only. Click "More info" then "Run anyway." You may have to whitelist the program in your antivirus software to open the game.
- If the game does not automatically open, right click bfdibranches.exe, and click Open.
How to update BFDI: Branches Demo:
If there is a new update, it will show up as a button in the bottom center of the home menu. They will also be announced in the #update-log channel in the BFDI: Branches Discord.
- Click on the update menu of the bottom center of the home menu. DO NOT click the update button a second time, and DO NOT close the game before it has updated. This can corrupt the update process, which will make you have to reinstall the game. When the game has finished downloading the update, it will forcibly close by itself.
- After the game forcibly closes, open bfdibranches.exe again.
Troubleshooting:
The game is not opening: Try right clicking bfdibranches.exe, and clicking Open again.
Updating the game does not work/My account info does not save: The folder is likely in read-only mode, which prevents files from being edited. Right click the main BFDI: Branches folder, and go into its properties. Change the read-only settings to allow files inside of the folder to be overwritten.
How do I log in/use Online Levels/use Gelatin's Shop: Accounts and Online Levels are unlocked after beating the demo's Story Mode, which is a tutorial and 4 levels. Account login is in the bottom right of the Home Menu in the person and gear icon, and Gelatin's Shop, Inventory, and Profile Settings are in the profile icon in the bottom right of the Home Menu.
How do I get Branch Coins for Gelatin's Shop: After beating Story Mode, go to Online Levels and beat Spotlight Levels. The higher the difficulty they are, the more Branch Coins you will earn.
How do I go back to Edit Mode after playing a level in the level creator: Press Enter.

Hey I love the game! But the controller support is kind of weird (btw my controller is a nintendo switch.) So to move left I have to move my analog stick up and all the movements using the analog sticks are basically the opposite. Could you fix this in a future update or maybe add controller binding to the game. Great game btw!

I love this game, but I can't figure out what the purple camera blocks do.

genuinely one of the most fun games to play man it was awsome and i got a huge chuckle out of it.

theres a bug that if i dont update for a bit of time, when i try to update a couple seconds later it closes causing it to not update
The update took forever
Took so long that my pc battery run out
Although the access date says it's still going, it's stuck at 237MB
for me the game closed automatically and it not updated the game.
I reinstalled the game, and the server literally kept the whole thing

It's a false positive, just open it anyways. Some Godot games aren't signed properly and Windows SmartScreen or whatever you're using is just deciding it's a virus.

One of the best bfdi games high quality and smotth animations, a great platformer nice charecters and nice story! 5 stars! recommend! only downside is the lack of levels.
how do you do the linux one
You can make a game in godot. You can of course export the game to linux.
